Based on my observations, everyone had a great time at NEWGA’s 1 Gross 1 Net Team event at Schenectady Municipal Golf Course on Friday, June 30. 88 golfers maneuvered around the 18 hole track in record time, followed by a lively and fun lunch reception!
Thanks to NEWGA Club Rep Nancy Kroll for her work coordinating the event with Club Pro Matt Daley and his team along with the restaurant staff who provided a delicious buffet!
Despite a scoring error, discovered after the event which altered the tournament’s overall winners, it was a terrific event!
Congratulations to Overall Aggregate Champions Rachel Barlette (Shaker Ridge), Kate Oppedisano and Deb DiMaggio (Ballston Spa) and Anne Poulin who successfully defended their 2022 title posting a score of 134 and winning on a match of cards over the team of Anne Van Buren, Laurie McBain, Joyce Maeng (Pinehaven) and Caroline Merritt (Columbia G&CC). Nice job ladies!! Great competition!
